Over 60 salons worldwide bear the name of one of the French hairdresser’s genius and our mission is to keep and develop further the artistic spirit and the aesthetic glamour of the brand. Stephan hairdressing method is the sign to differ every professional, graduated from the academies.

About Stephan
S tephan hair academies and salons are spread on several continents using the popular and successful franchising model. The company has working branches in South America including exotic countries such as Ecuador and Guatemala, in Europe – France, Russia, Bulgaria, USA – more than 60 salons worldwide are under the registered trademark and are functioning as a substantial part of the Stephan franchising chain.
The company is headquartered in Toulouse, France and has a regional representative office for the Balkans located in Sofia.
In Bulgaria and the region
S tephan opened its local academy in Bulgaria in 2007 and offered the full portfolio of world recognizable educational courses for beginners and advanced hairdressers. The academy quickly became the ultimate source of providing quality education for the hair industry and climbed the number one spot for the country.
In 2009 the franchising model was presented and a massive communication campaign raised the interest towards the brand, supported strongly by L’Oreal Professionnel.
The first franchising salon is already working in the heart of the Bulgarian capital being a real example of the successful model offered by Stephan to all business owners in the hair industry.
Vassil Mihaylov is the art director of Stephan in Bulgaria and leads specially educated team of teachers covered the certified training at Stephan headquarter in Toulouse, France.
About Vassil Mihaylov
V assil Mihaylov is the Art Director of Stephan for the region and manages an artistic team, currently working for a number of fashion shows and catwalks in the region, style collections and photo sessions for leading lifestyle magazines. He has participated twice in the OMC World championships and took the prestigious 5th place in 2002 in Paris. Mr. Mihaylov has notable participations in European championships in Strasburg, popular Hairdressing Contest in Riga, many contests in Bulgaria. Since 2010 Vassil Mihaylov is a member of the Bulgarian artistic team of Haute Coiffure Française.
